ODX Gets Closer to US$100M Token Sale

Singapore: Just when it seemed the ICO market was tapering, Open Data Exchange (ODX), has announced a commitment of more than US$60mil from its private token sale.This indicates that ODX is on route to becoming the largest ICO in the region, following its plan to raise US$100mil through its ICO. The committed investors in its private sale include big blockchain funds Pantera Capital, BlockTower Capital and DNA Fund, and famous individuals Brock Pierce, Randy Kaplan (co-founder of Akamai) and Alexander Shulgin, a Russian composer and active investor in new technology. ODX is a unit of Philippines public listed Xurpas Inc. In May, Xurpas’ stock market filing revealed that ODX would be raising up to US$100mil through an ICO. Nix Nolledo is co-founder, chairman and CEO of Xurpas, which is the largest consumer tech company in the Philippines. Nolledo is also the founder and chairman of ODX. The record for the biggest ICO in Southeast Asia is said to be held by Singapore based TenX which raised US$80mil in a token sale last June.
